Key repair
To get the full potential of your piano.
Service Description
Since humidity affects the piano's action, it is essential to start by adjusting the keyboard first, then proceed to fine-tuning the action. (Here are some adjustments) Positioning the bridges. Aligning the hammer path. Tightening all the screws on the action. Adjusting the upper lever of the bridge (grand piano only). Positioning the escapement stick (grand piano only). Adjusting the height of the hammers at rest. (After-touch) grand piano only. Adjusting the hammer escapement. Adjusting the escapement and repeat springs (grand piano). Adjusting the return of the hammers after contact with the string. Adjusting the damper action if necessary. And many other adjustments as needed... These adjustments ensure a uniform feel to the touch and a balanced sound. This may require changes to parts of the piano action, especially for older or damaged pianos. In this case, a restoration of the parts is necessary, including the replacement of action parts, changing strings or hammers, in order to restore the piano to good working order. Rates are available upon request, offering the option of paying in cash or by Interac e-Transfer.
